Malcolm Gladwell visited Dillard last year. He did a 2-part podcast on rankings, the second was all about Dillard.
And he discussed his ideas with all types of media outlets. His interview with The Breakfast Club was exceptional. You can catch it here:
All kinds of folks listen to the podcast. Just 2 weeks ago while in Baltimore for NASPA a colleague who saw me as I checked into the hotel mentioned the episode. We still get occasional checks from people inspired by the podcast and who want to support us.

Well it seems others were inspired as well. The folks at Academic Influence decided to do their own rankings taking into account some of Gladwell’s long standing criticisms.
Once they did their own ranking, this is what they found:
