SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13th
The annual UNCF Walk for Education. This year I had the fastest time for a male employee of Dillard or Xavier!
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14th
Trustee Cleland Powell received the Times-Picayune Loving Cup.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th
Late night hoops! Jamie Foxx makes it to campus along with hip hop artist Dee-1.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16th
Our public relations subcommittee for the Louisiana HBCU Task Force met via Skype.
That afternoon I traveled to Baton Rouge to speak to higher education students at LSU.
And we finished the night in Baton Rouge with the local area alumni as part of our Bleu Pride Rising Tour.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17th
That morning I was part of a panel at St. Aug to discuss leadership.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18th
For convocation, we hosted Virginia Johnson, the artistic director of the Dance Theater of Harlem.
My class hosted hip hop artist Lola Monroe from Washington DC.
And we ended the day with Lena Waithe for Brain Food.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19th
We held a gala for our nursing program and raised over $30,000 for scholarships.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20th
Volleyball took on and defeated conference rival Talladega College.
And we ended the night with the coronation of the 83rd Miss Dillard, KeAdria Miller, and the 13th Mister Dillard, Joseph Caldwell.
What a week!
