The two-time defending champion Dillard men entered the season ranked number one in the conference, like the women. They ended the year ranked #18 nationally.

Our new dynasty is the mock trial team. In just their second year, this spring they came in 5th in the regional mock trial tournament, which made them automatic qualifiers for the first round of the national tournament. Based on their performance last year they made the 2018–19 American Mock Trial Team Power Rankings. The top third of the 700+ teams in the nation are ranked so after 2 years this was a great accomplishment.
